There's a wonderful website associated with the MET, it's at
Marian-Anderson.org which I find absolutely wonderful. It gives a full
picture of her life and career, very well balanced and respectful, but also
appropriately critical, with lots of interesting photos and excerpts from
her recorded legacy. Quite easy to navigate and well-written.

It also reminds you that some people have more to deal with in the world
than tit-for-tat insults..

Thanks..i already have planned a lesson for my newly acquired music
students on Anderson and the black artist in general....I will bring
CD, Video of the Lincoln Memorial Singing, the new stamp, and
remember..I SAW the Met debut....Charlie
